Soroti university has organized electronic learning training for the recently admitted students on how to access learning materials and content through the electronic systems, computer networks, mobile phones, and other technologies. This is aimed at enhancing students access to learning materials which are available in various multimedia formats.

The Senior eLearning officer, Soroti University, Abigail S Inapat, noted that, it is now a requirement for universities to adopt blended approach to teaching and learning. Lectures can conduct lessons on face-to-face basis or virtually using Conferencing technologies like Zoom, Big Blue Button, Google meet, Microsoft Teams and so on she added.

The orientation is key for learners to acquaint themselves with these technologies for seamless learning where every learner is required to have an active university email to be able to login to access course contents both online and offline, connect easily with others and quickly complete learning activities. It is now a requirement for every student undertaking any academic program to have a personal laptop and or smart phone to be able to access online learning materials.
