As part of the familiarization meetings with key stakeholders, new university secretary has today met with representatives of the banking institutions operating in the city who paid a courtesy call on him and held fruitful discussions.
The meeting which took place in the University boardroom was attended by the managers of the major banks in the city- Absa, Centenary, Postbank, Equity, Dfcu among others. Introducing the new accounting officer to the bank executives the deputy university secretary who has also been acting university secretary Mr. Oyare Shaban informed the managers that the signature of the accounting officer will now change. The new University secretary appended his specimen signature to replace the old one and authenticate all financial transactions with the banks.

Mr. Oloya Stephen as the accounting officer oversees the finances of the University and is signatory to all the financial transactions in the institution. He thanked the bank managers for being true friends of university and pledged to always keep a close and cordial working relationship with the banking institutions. He acknowledged the roles the banks have played in making it easier for the staff of the University to access loans.
