The awareness will help innovators share their work with confidence, attract investment and build sustainable businesses. The workshop also gave participants a chance to exchange views on the challenges they face when registering and enforcing their rights.

The facilitators encouraged stakeholders to use available IP information and support services, and to consider protection early in developing new products and creative projects. The event forms part of broader efforts to promote innovation and ensure that creators and businesses can retain value from the work they produce.
