Soroti University invites applications from eligible Diploma and Degree Holders for admission to Undergraduate Programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Year under the Diploma/Degree Holders Entry Scheme.
Programmes Offered
Applications are invited for the following programmes:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB)
- Bachelor of Nursing Science
- Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance and Computing (Day)
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Computer Engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Sponsorship Schemes
Applicants may apply under the following sponsorship schemes:
- Uganda Government Sponsorship Scheme for the 2026/2027 Academic Year
- Private Sponsorship Scheme for the 2026/2027 Academic Year
Applicants are required to select the appropriate sponsorship scheme during the online application process. A candidate may apply under both schemes; however, each application attracts an independent charge. Degree holders are not eligible to apply under the Government Sponsorship Scheme.
Eligibility Requirements
General Requirements for All Applicants
- Must have fulfilled the minimum entry requirements for admission into a Diploma Programme.
- Must have at least two (2) years of relevant working experience by the time of application.
- Applicants for medical-related programmes must be registered with the relevant professional body and possess a valid practicing license.
- Candidates who obtained Grades X, Y, Z, 7, or 9 at O-Level are not eligible.
- Diploma holders with Class Three (3) or Pass Diplomas are not eligible for admission.
Programme-Specific Requirements
Each programme has specific academic and professional requirements. Applicants are advised to carefully review the detailed admission requirements for their intended programme before applying.
International applicants must attach a recognized Diploma from an accredited institution and obtain verification from the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE). They must also meet all general and programme-specific requirements.
