Admissions Open: 2026/2027 Higher Education Access Certificate (HEAC) Entry Scheme

The Office of the Academic Registrar at Soroti University invites applications for undergraduate admissions under the Higher Education Access Certificate (HEAC) Entry Scheme for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Applications are processed online and must be submitted by the 17th of July 2026.

Eligible Programmes & HEAC Requirements

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (SOM): Applicants must hold an HEAC in Biological Sciences
  • Bachelor of Nursing Science (SON): Applicants must hold an HEAC in Biological Sciences
  • Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (SBP): Applicants must hold an HEAC in Biological Sciences
  • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (SML): Applicants must hold an HEAC in Biological Sciences
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Computer Engineering (ECS): Applicants must hold an HEAC in Physical Sciences
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (SEE): Applicants must hold an HEAC in Biological Sciences
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance and Computing (SFC): Applicants must hold an HEAC in Economics or Mathematics

How to Apply & Fees

  • Online Portal: All applications must be submitted online through the admissions URL at http://admissions.sun.ac.ug
  • Required Documents: You must upload certified copies of your academic transcripts, certificates, and a passport-size photograph as a single PDF document
  • Application Fee (Ugandans & East Africans): A non-refundable fee of 50,000 UGX, plus a bank charge of 2,750 UGX
  • Application Fee (International Students): 75 USD paid in UGX at the ongoing dollar rate, plus a bank charge of 2,750 UGX
  • Payment Methods: Payments can be made at any bank using the system-generated reference number, or via Mobile Money by dialing 2726# on MTN or Airtel
